LongplayArchive

(Uploads in May 2025) Below picture shows all of the consoles that we've archived atleast three titles for. Other consoles we focused on this month are: Sega Genesis (+1), Sega Saturn (+1), Sega CD (+1), Dreamcast (+1), Xbox (+1), Xbox One (+1), 3DO (+1), Game Boy Advance (+1), PlayStation 4 (+1)

A lot of variety this month! We didn't plan for it, but it's nice to see ten consoles make it to the image. This month featured another decent amount of Game Gear uploads, but we also ramped up our PlayStation uploads a bit thanks to our most recent member who's been chipping away at this console quite consistently. He seems to be enjoying the titles on that system, so there'll be much more coming. I also want to continue putting out a lot of Game Gear stuff because it's fairly quick to work through and we're not too far off from becoming the largest Game Gear library on the platform! This'll be achieved in the next one or two months most likely.

We haven't been cherrypicking Game Gear titles, as we actually work alphabetically. This has led us to posting a few notable Game Gear titles that previously weren't longplayed elsewhere. Head Buster, Krusty's Fun House and Eternal Legend are amongst some examples. The console is becoming increasingly more exciting to work on as our library of it's games expands. It's fun to contribute something to the platform that hasn't already been done a dozen times and I appreciate how the Game Gear uploads aren't horrendously unpopular with our community!

Something else we've been uploading a lot of is... DLC. I'm not sure if I should apologize for this, because it's not necessarily our fault that so much of this content can't just get bundled up with the main game, but it's important for us to separate our DLC uploads from the base game uploads for many different reasons. This month we managed to conclude all of the DLC for Mortal Kombat 1 and Destruction AllStars (this was a lot!!) as well as ALMOST all of the remaining PowerWash Simulator DLC. For the next month, we'll finally conclude all of the PWS DLC as well as all of the Dead by Daylight DLC. Two big collections complete! SpectreBull has been working on this stuff for literally over a year, so it's pretty wild to finally see it come to an end.

Furthermore, there'll likely be less Game Boy Advance uploads for a while. Our ex-member DeShelly did most of the uploads for this console but after literally five years of contribution, we decided to cut ties as adult responsibilities and a lot of work hours just made it difficult for him to continue contributing to the channel. I think he'll continue to post a GBA longplay on his own channel every so often, which could very well be titles that you'll never see anywhere else because DeShelly wasn't shy of playing anything. He has played some of the strangest JP exclusive stuff that most other people wouldn't have the patience for. Four years back he even helped submit Gakuen for GameCube, a 40 hour JP exclusive longplay with almost no online documentation. His efforts and contributions to the channel definitely won't be forgotten and I thank him for it.

We have an incredible team at LPA, and with my wedding ceremony happening in just a few weeks which has led to a lot of absence from my part, I am grateful to see everything is going as strong as ever. We managed to keep up with the monthly 5 Nintendo 64 uploads and iamalamb even participated by grinding through the 50 hour Ogre Battle RPG game! I held this one off because I knew it was going to be lengthy and difficult.. and I'm so glad I did because iamalamb was familiar with the series and managed to do an awesome recording featuring the best ending for the game. It's apparently one of the harder entries in the series and I probably would not have done it the same justice. There's been more impressive uploads, as Spazbo has also done the 30 hour Death Stranding: Director's Cut recording, the newest DOOM: Dark Ages release, the most terrible Killing Time port for the 3DO and the incredibly difficult Super Monkey Ball Deluxe for Xbox. But that's not everything, because Nikodem also submitted the terabyte-large Shining Resonance Refrain which won the previous RPG poll. If recording it wasn't hard enough, the video render would also constantly fry his computer and force it to start the process all over again.

Anyway, it's another month in the books and June is the big hectic month for the admin. My parents that I haven't seen in almost 7 years have flown over for my upcoming wedding ceremony and I've been spending time with them. Usually this channel takes every hour of my day, seven days a week, but I got some easier stuff lined up for myself this month just so I can navigate everything. The only reason I'm sharing this bit of personal stuff is because I want to thank our tremendous community for it's continued participation with the channel. I see more people purchasing membership and I still read and appreciate every comment that's been coming in. In a strange way, the wedding wouldn't have taken place if it wasn't for the success of this channel and it's probably why I'll forever feel loyal to doing as much work over here as I possibly can. There's been a lot of good things happening for me lately and I always feel like I owe it to this channel and you guys, so thank you. I'll never reach a point where I "outgrow" this as it's ultimately the thing I enjoy doing more than anything, so I hope it's never something I'll have to stop doing.

Lastly! I'm sure there's a lot of you wondering about this, as I've seen a lot of comments making mention of it, but YES, one of members has secured himself a Nintendo Switch 2 and will start recording NS2 games for the channel as soon as possible :) With Spazbo having the NS2, I have no doubt we'll already see the first submission real soon!
