Welcome to flaps 10! My name is Peter Berlin and I'm based in Orlando, FL. My corporate job takes me around the country from Durham to Del Mar, mostly on American Airlines. But the real fun is when I'm off the clock and out of the country. I'm also a private pilot in my free time and aim to use my knowledge as an aviator to give you a unique (and sometimes technical) perspective on my travels.

FAQs:
What are flaps?
Flaps are devices that can increase or decrease the surface area of an aircraft wing. They are used during takeoff and landing to create additional lift at slower airspeeds. Typical commercial aircraft have flap settings ranging from 0 degrees (fully retracted) to 30 degrees (fully extended).

Why is this channel called flaps 10?
"Flaps 10" is the default takeoff setting for most commercial aircraft. It's also the default setting for this channel. If my videos don't have you feeling like you just took off on a new adventure, I haven't done my job.
