Sébastien Carniato
Born in 1991 and raised in the suburbs of Paris, I have always been fascinated by culture, colour and people. At 18, I left the big city, to study in Grenoble, close to the French Alps.
I quickly became fascinated by the people that live, work and play in this beautiful but hostile environment. Through my work as a film maker, I have been able to capture the adventures of mountain athletes and document the lives of farmers that live in the world's remotest mountains valleys.
The more I photograph the more I realize how interconnected and interdependent we all are, this drives me to travel to those countries that are often misrepresented in western media (eg. Pakistan and much of central asia). My camera is merely a lens through which to capture the human story in all its beauty and complexity.
