Dr. Mary Grimberg

Dr. Mary Grimberg is an orthopedic and pelvic floor physical therapist and educator with over 14 years of experience. She’s board certified in orthopedics, a former orthopedic residency faculty member, a continuing education instructor for movement professionals, and a mentor to clinicians across all stages of their careers.

After surviving cancer at 33, Hodgkin’s lymphoma and undergoing chemotherapy, she thought the hardest part was behind her, but she was thrown into early onset of perimenopause. She discovered with herself and her clients, how fascia, blood sugar, the lymphatic system, stress, the digestive system, movement, and hormones all connect, and how addressing them together creates lasting change.

By turning her own pain into a path of healing, she now helps people in perimenopause reclaim strength, clarity, and confidence, while also educating health and fitness professionals to better support this population.

Toxic health trends are making us more sick.

When dealing with ongoing pelvic pain, I had limited exposure to toxins, ate clean, exercised, and avoided gluten and dairy. I had removed toxins from my home, and I was in picture-perfect health (from society’s standards).

But I was grappling with ongoing chronic stress because I was suppressing myself to fit into a society that wanted us to stay the same.

When we’re dealing with toxic relationships, jobs, and the suppression of self, our bodies think we’re under attack, leading to cortisol production.

Here’s where it gets wild: our body produces cortisol instead of progesterone.

This contributes to estrogen dominance because we don’t have enough progesterone to regulate our cycles. This imbalance can lead to pelvic pain, painful periods, fibroids, endometriosis, infertility, and more.

What if we stopped focusing on what not to do and instead added more play, joy, and tapped into our unique creativity? Isn’t that what life is truly about?

True health is about living authentically, embracing love, abundance, and addressing the unconscious narratives that drive our lives.

What limiting beliefs do you have, and how can you move through them instead of letting them control you?
