Learning to overcome trauma is the will of God. The foundation of the power to overcome trauma is the word of God. Every biblical human experienced trauma. Overcoming is locked in our faith and hope. We can have a beautiful life with blessings that overflow.
God is the “God who sees.” Hagar cried out to God about being used and discarded. An angel of the Lord appeared to Hagar as she cried out. The angel of the Lord assured Hagar that God was acquainted with her despair. Hagar responded, “El Roi”, which translates, the God who sees. This story of Hagar (Genesis Chapters 16 and 21) also applies to us. God also sees us. The “God who sees” proclaims God’s intimate knowledge of our individual lives, injustices, and struggles. Our God is not distant or indifferent. He sees us personally and loves us. God vindicates us and redeems us!
