Wassup Kinfolk? We're Moses and Jas, self-taught home chefs on a mission to inspire everyday cooks to experiment, create, and most importantly, enjoy the process of cooking. Our journey began in our beloved hometown of New Orleans, Louisiana. Growing up in New Orleans, we experienced the rich culture and food, which greatly influenced our love for cooking. At a young age, Moses began cooking, grilling, and even baking alongside his grandmother. Jas also started to find her way around the kitchen at a young age, discovering and crafting recipes that were her own. We began dating in 2014 and quickly discovered one another's love for cooking. We bonded over cooking and trying new restaurants, among other things. Ultimately, cooking meals for one another evolved into friendly competitions where we would try to one-up each other. These friendly competitions eventually led to the creation of Moses Family Cookin, also known as MF Cookin.
