Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine
TAG (T.Rex Action Group) was founded in 1999 to care for the site in Barnes known as 'Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine. TAG was granted an in-perpetuity lease on the site with full responsibility for its care and upkeep. We also have a responsibility to keep the site safe for visitors. TAG cares for Marc Bolan's Rock Shrine in Barnes, SW London to keep it as a fitting tribute for Marc Bolan and his band T.Rex*. We receive no funding from those who make money from Marc Bolan. We rely solely on donations and the profit from the sale of fund-raisers to fund this work.
*T.Rex were inducted into the Rock 'n Roll Hall of Fame. The award was collected by Marc Bolan's son and heir Rolan Bolan, 18 years after he unveiled the Bronze Bust of Marc Bolan at The Shrine.
