Robert’s Story
Brought to America by his mother, Robert immigrated to the United States when he was just 5 years old. He says becoming a citizen is his proudest moment, and it’s the reason he went into public service.

Robert was first elected to Congress in 2022 to represent California’s 42nd District. He now serves as the Top Democratic on the powerful House Oversight Committee, the first sophmore Democrat in more than a 100 years to lead a committee.
