Dreamy Monk is a project of artist Frank Monk. After years of exploring and gathering visual inspiration, I found myself increasingly attracted to certain realms where the mundane meets the mysterious.
The Monk is an explorer of spiritual paths, perpetually following the light through the streets and shadows. You’ll find the signs of this journey everywhere: in the curve of an architectural detail, a fleeting piece of art, or the rhythmic rattle of Prague’s trams and trains. From the density of urban life to the quiet of the rural, the Monk is always walking.
What began as a collection of photographs available for printing has evolved. After years as a tireless viewer of YouTube walking channels, I’ve begun experimenting with theories like psychogeography—among others—to see where the city leads me. Having considered the experiment for some time, I finally bought a DJI and stepped out to see for myself.
