O.G. Rev (real name Reverend Harry Louis Williams, II) was born in New York City and raised in Asbury Park, NJ. He was a pioneering hip-hop artist in the formative years of the hip-hop old school. Today, he is a respected author who holds both a B.A. and an M.Div. He is a hood minister in the streets of both Oakland and San Francisco, California, reaching out to gang members, participants in the underground economy, the unsheltered and people on the margins with a message of hope.
