The Unsolicited Mind

Welcome to The Unsolicited Mind.

The realm of metaphysics is often dominated by two extremes: religious dogma and staunch atheism. Both sides frequently claim certainty, yet both are largely shaped by unconscious biases. These often-overlooked biases influence everyone, from devout believers to outspoken atheists like Richard Dawkins and Ricky Gervais.

From religion to atheism, biases clearly influenced my early worldview, but a transformative spiritual experience shifted my perspective. This experience revealed deeper, esoteric truths underpinning the worlds differing beliefs. Though I still respect atheism as a reasoned position, I challenge the false certitude often promoted by many militant new atheists—a mindset that limits exploration and inquiry.

As Stephen Hawking observed, "The greatest enemy of knowledge is not ignorance, but the illusion of knowledge." Cognitive biases create this illusion, obstructing truth.
