Enrico Melozzi is an Italian composer, conductor, cellist, singer and record producer, acclaimed for his versatility and magnetic creative vision. A rare artist equally at ease in symphonic halls and on popular stages, he has collaborated with leading figures in classical and contemporary music, composing symphonies, operas, film scores, ballets and theatre productions. His bold, unconventional spirit has inspired the creation of unique ensembles such as the 100 Cellos, co-founded with G. Sollima, and the Orchestra Notturna Clandestina, a collective of musicians who gather at night in Rome’s Teatro Valle to rehearse and perform groundbreaking concerts. Among Melozzi’s most celebrated projects is La Notte dei Serpenti, a major televised event that brings together orchestra, folk and pop to celebrate the musical soul of Abruzzo. Blending passion, experimentation and cultural depth, Melozzi embodies a new idea of the modern composer: visionary, human, and fiercely connected to his roots.
