The Plek machine is a revolutionary computer controlled high tech guitar tool for dressing frets and much more besides. Different versions of the machine can be used in production lines, in repair shops or as part of a master guitar maker's toolkit. The tool acts not only as a magnifying glass, enabling accuracy to a hundredth of a millimetre, but also makes it possible to implement a luthier's specifications time and time again. Fretboard scans, taken under simulated string tension, record any changes to the fretboard in multiple "before" and "after" snapshots.
