When I was young and indestructible, and the road was endless, i was a post Vietnam era medic in the military, a civilian firefighter medic, and a manufacturing engineer in Silicon Valley hi-tech clean rooms. Then I found the world of self employment, and 28 years later am still running my real estate appraisal and photography company along California's central coast. A step closer to freedom, my work allows me a lot of quiet me time.

I love solitude, but it is not in my nature to live a solitary life. Alone time allows me to unscramble my thoughts, detox from past experiences, and bring my thoughts into focus. Solitude, good friends and loving intimate relationships are the health food of life.

Nature photography has been my passion since junior high, when my favorite teacher put a camera in my hand. It is my therapy, chasing light. First with film, then digital and now with video; blog to vlog, whats next?
