The SUN Movement brings together development agencies; inter-governmental organisations (especially the UN system); civil society groups that function at national and global levels; and business to support actions to improve peoples nutrition by national governments.
Fifty four nations, home to at least half of the world’s chronically undernourished children, have joined the SUN Movement. The emphasis of the movement is on effective implementation of national plans that combine full provision of proven nutrition interventions, with the development and pursuit of mutli-sectoral strategies that address the underlying determinants of malnutrition.
