Lawrence Delva-Gonzalez

Raised in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Lawrence Delva-Gonzalez is a proud Haitian-American with distant Brazilian roots in Sau Paulo, BR. While working on his Master’s in Accounting with a Specialization in Taxation at FSU; he served as the President of the United Haitian Students of Florida, and co-founded ‘Noles for Haiti (FSU) (Post Haiti earthquake, 2010). He assisted the renowned Haitian American Leadership Organization (HALO) with the coordination of the first joint conference bridging the gap between collegiate students and professionals. He served as the Vice President of Education for a Virginia Chapter of Toastmasters, international. Currently, Lawrence volunteers as a financial coach for the Prince Georges County Community College’s Center for Financial Empowerment.

He is branching out further by creating The Neighborhood Finance Guy website dedicated to exposing the community to money management know-how.
