Established in 1982 in the scenic highlands of Wayanad, Kerala, our institution stands as a beacon of higher education in a region once deprived of academic opportunities. Affiliated with the University of Calicut and managed by the Malankara Catholic Diocese of Bathery, Pazhassiraja College has grown from a modest beginning of 127 students into a first-grade institution offering 11 undergraduate and 6 postgraduate programs.

Named after Kerala’s legendary freedom fighter Pazhassi Raja, the college was founded by the Pazhassiraja Education Society to serve the educational needs of tribal and settler communities in Wayanad. Despite humble beginnings, the college has flourished—thanks to visionary leaders and a mission rooted in inclusivity, social empowerment, and academic excellence.
