HiMY began making stop motion animation films using Super 8 film under the guidance of artist Aiko Suzuki (sister of David Suzuki) in the early '80s.

He curated his first Peace and Social Justice themed film festival during the One Big kNOw -- Pro Peace Arts Festival in Toronto on March 12, 2006.

In 2009, he became a Founding Board Member of CLiFF, The Canadian Labour International Film Festival — The World's First National Film Festival.

He appears in the Philip Maglieri film "Garbage Day", a fly-on-the-wall documentary about the 2009 Civic Workers' Strike in Toronto.

An Independent Photojournalist, his still images appeared in Threadbare and A Moment of Noise.
