A new frontier: Popflex Denim.

What started as tough workwear for miners and cowboys has now turned into a universally loved closet essential.

However, there was always one thing I didn’t love about my jeans: they were never comfortable enough. In fact, that line in my poem “my body broke the rules” is about how I wasn’t ever able to fit into jeans until I was 12. I grew up chubby, and not only did the girls in the locker room make sure I knew that, so did every jean in every department store.

So, 3 years ago, I asked myself: how do I bring the mobility and flexibility of activewear into denim? I felt like it was my duty to make jeans as comfortable as leggings.

Today I am so proud to introduce you to ‪@popflexactive‬ Denim - jeans so stretchy you could do the splits in them! When athleisure was born in the 2010s, we wore joggers.

In 2020, comfort was 🗝️ and we went a liiiiittle baggier.

Now in 2025, all the girlies are wearing super wide, baggy sweatpants.

I don’t think this trend is a coincidence, but actually a cultural shift! When I started designing the new ‪@popflexactive‬ Superwide Sweatpants, it was this theory that inspired the dramatically wide leg. And that’s not even my favorite part! It’s how STRETCHY they are.

Wanna know why the bomber jacket is called a “bomber jacket”?

Turns out the reason dates alllllll the way back to when flight jackets were first invented to keep pilots warm during WWI and WWII air missions.

They became iconic in fashion because of the way they bent gender norms… but that doesn’t mean we couldn’t add our own feminine touch.

I’ve lived my whole life with a “flat” butt and even when I was squatting HUNDREDS of pounds in my heavy lifting / bikini fitness competition phase, all I ever achieved was a little teeny smidgen of a lift. But no volume. Body shape is heavily influenced by genetics…but you know what can also influence a lil shapeage? The clothes you wear.
