I, Lane, am a Grand Master Carry Optics and Limited Division shooter in USPSA, and am an active Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt in addition to having been a Collegiate Strength and Conditioning Coach for ~6yrs from D3 to D1. I teach Pistol and Rifle performance skills and Combative Handgun Solutions, an integrated skills class focused on usage of all martial skills in harmony to facilitate and employ a handgun in protection of self and others. I love to disseminate fiction and platitude from fact and love to help folks gain more martial skill in any sense of the word.
Prior to getting into submission grappling and competitive shooting, I was an 0311 Marine and veteran of multiple deployments to sunny Iraq. I was fortunate enough to be a Fallujah Marine, having been a grunt during Operation Phantom Fury in 2004; fighting in the nasty and close quartered Jolan Park and Queens areas of the hornet's nest.
