# The Altar Burns
The Altar Burns is a worship-rock project built around one conviction:
**God is worthy of worship.**
These songs focus on who God is: His faithfulness, power, holiness, presence, and glory.
Blending heavy guitars, driving rhythms, and biblical truth, the aim is to create worship that is bold, honest, and centred on Christ.
The name comes from two powerful images in Scripture: the altar and the fire.
The altar is a place of worship, surrender, and encounter with God. Fire often represents His presence, holiness, and power. From the burning bush to Elijah's altar, from the pillar of fire to Pentecost, God's fire points people to Him.
The altar burns because God is present.
The altar burns because God is holy.
The altar burns because God is worthy.
My prayer is that these songs help people lift their eyes and fix them on Jesus.
