Three years into this older mom game, and I have a few things to tell you. 🤎✨

1️⃣ In fertility, your health matters just as much as your age. Take care of yourself.

2️⃣ Taking care of yourself means more than eating well. It means prioritizing rest, reading labels, reducing toxic ingredients, managing stress, and yes… letting go of toxic people too. 🌿

3️⃣ The doctors will likely talk to you about your age, your AMH, and your egg quality. But remember this: you only need ONE good egg. And egg quality is influenced by the way you’ve cared for your body over time. 💫

4️⃣ No statistic, diagnosis, or person’s opinion about your body is greater than what God has planned for your life. 🙏🏾

The first photo was taken when my daughter was just six weeks old. The last one? I’m 50, she’s 3, and every day I’m reminded that some of the most beautiful stories arrive on a timeline we never expected. 🥹🤎

50 with a 3 year old. Let’s talk about it.

I feel like I’m living life in reverse.

ZERO thoughts of slowing down. I can only keep up.

Life has to have laughter and silly things.

I need to be agile to climb.

Energy has to remain high for long walks through amusement parks on warm days.

I don’t crave alcohol or things to “help me relax.”

I LOVE the joy of feeling alive with all my senses present.

Her besties are my babies too.

They make me giggle and take
me on adventures.

Her life gives me life.

I believe late motherhood is a secret fountain of youth if you do right.

TBH, I didn't understand my own value when it came to men for a long time. I gave years to someone who told me upfront he never wanted marriage or children. I justified it. I stayed anyway. And a week before my 41st birthday he ended it. That hurt, but I never gave up on myself. By 44 I was in the right relationship for me. I understood my value, so did he. By 46 I was pregnant with my first baby. By 47 I was officially a mother. The timeline was not what I planned. But it was exactly right. Life is like that sometimes.

I got pregnant naturally at 45. That pregnancy didn't stick. And you know what my OB said? "The fact that you CAN get pregnant at your age is the most important thing. You can get pregnant again." She was right. Ten months later I conceived again naturally at 46 and delivered a healthy baby girl at 47.
