Welcome to Off Grid in the City, Suburbs. We are Christians who love Yeshua and know we need to help each other that is the entire reason for doing it. Any financial benefit is secondary.

In 2003 peak summer many in Canada and US experienced blackout for 2-7 days, we had no power of 4days. Then 10years later in 2013 peak winter, icy rain hit Southern Ontario and many experienced blackout for 2-14days, we had no power for just over 3 days, some for 3weeks.


Temperature dropped quickly, doors were literally frozen shut, no cooking, no heating, unable to helped our aged neighbors. It was ridiculous how unprepared we were.


Since then and without breaking the bank, we started this project. "Off the Grid in the suburbs" - it is really "Living off the Grid when the power goes down." This is a project my son and I worked on. As of 2023 he is owning it going forward.
