National Information Technology Board was established on 11th August 2014 through the merger of the Pakistan Computer Bureau (PCB) with the Electronic Government Directorate (EGD). Since then, the National Information Technology Board has been working to implement e-governance to expedite the accessibility and quality of information and services provided to the public through ICT in a convenient and cost-effective manner. The objective is to help Pakistan's IT sector become a vibrant and efficient industry capable of competing in the global IT landscape. By serving as a hub for implementing digital initiatives, it will propel digitalization in Pakistan and develop the country's information infrastructure.
