Check out Joss and Adam explaining the cornerstone of ancient geology (an incredible important method called zircon dating) in @besmart 's great new episode. (And of course, don't miss Joe Hanson's trip back in time in our latest video)
Science paper book club is back! And on Feb. 3 (at noon ET) we'll be discussing an article that is just off the presses: "The Antidepressant Effects of GLP-1 Receptor Agonists" www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S1064748…
This is a fun, low pressure way to get to know the process of science - and specifically, talk about the weird effects of these "weight-loss" drugs. No experience necessary - we'll dive into the paper and decipher it together.
Hi pals - we're starting a monthly reading club for science papers! Our first session will be on January 6, where we'll discuss "Susceptibility to online misinformation: A systematic meta-analysis of demographic and psychological factors." www.pnas.org/doi/epdf/10.1073/pnas.2409329121
To access the meeting live, join our Hero, Counselor, or Mayor tiers on Patreon. We're currently doing a 25% discount on annual memberships for the Hero tier with the code: B50C2. Citizens will get the recording the following day. [Reminder that Apple adds a fee to any purchase in the patreon iphone app, so we strongly recommend you sign up on a browser or android.] See you there!
Look it's an @answerinprogress cameo on Howtown 👀 We were lucky to grab Melissa, Taha, and Sabrina for a quick chat while they passed through NYC. Thanks for the kicker pals.
We're looking for a freelance animator to help with an upcoming video - specifically hoping to find someone with experience working with EbSynth. If that's you (or you know somebody), drop us a line at business@howtown.co
