Week 10 Rival - Popular Girl

Kaede is the most popular girl at Akademi, not to mention the headmaster's niece. Despite being popular, she is very kind and generous. She usually opposes violence, but once her friends or family are being harmed, she will not hesitate to neutralize them herself.

She enrolled into Akademi along with the rest of her classmates, but she had an important family matter to attend to for the summer semester. Now...she is back and welcomed by everyone.

After she met Shinji, she immediately knew who he was and his situation. When he asked her how she knew him, she simply said one thing.

"I was friends with your sister back in high school,"

She said the reason why she and Sumire drifted away was because of how Sumire's demeanor changed. She wasn't as social as she knew her to be. The last time she spoke to Sumire was when they graduated.

The real reason that she enrolled into Akademi was to also find out the truth of Sumire Saitozaki, just like Shinji. When he asked her why she wanted to find out, she told him that she wanted to tell Sumire that she was sorry that she couldn't protect her, as friends should do.

Throughout the week, the two interacted and formed a bond through their pain and guilt of Sumire Saitozaki. However, if Kaede lets her guard down, either her or her other friend may be in danger...which is the LAST thing that she wants.

Week 9 Rival - Supernatural Investigator

Hitomi is a strange girl who usually keeps to herself. Firmly believes in the supernatural haunting the planet. Has ocaasionally commented about the cherry tree behind Akademi being haunted by the remains of an ancient succubus. However, she has no evidence to this theory.

Originally enrolled into Akademi to investigate the disappearances of the girls from earlier in the year. However, after meeting Shinji, she could immediately tell that he was hurting. At one point, she told him that she could ''sense'' his sister's presence within the school. However, it wasn't a physical presence, but rather a spiritual presence.

Shinji was appalled by her words, which was no surprise when it came to his sister. However, the more she told him, the more curious he became. After she mentioned something about his sister hiding a dark secret from him, he was interested in her company.

Throughout the week, the two will be spending time with each other. The more time she spent with him, the more she started to fall for him. At one point, when he asked her if he can see where his sister's ''presence'' was, she only gave him these statements.

''At the end of the week, you can talk to her in peace. You can say one final goodbye. She would want you to have closure. She would want you to move on," Hitomi would say.

However, if she's not careful...something dangerous may remove her from the picture...permanently.

Week 8 Rival - Student Council Assistant

Ayako has always cared about school and justice, ever since she was very young. She stood up for anyone who was being harassed and always was a helping hand in both school and the community.

When she enrolled into Akademi, after meeting Shinji. She already knew his situation. The reason she came to the school in the first place was to "reconstruct" the safety of the students. She made it her job to ensure that nobody else has to be afraid or have to endure the pain of losing a loved one or close friend.

When Meisa Tashiro, the student council president, overheard her intentions, she immediately offered her to be an assistant to the student council. To no surprise, Ayako accepted the offer.

While she may seem like nothing can bother her serious demeanor, she does have a personal problem...something that had been bothering her for a long time.

The reason she's trying to get Shinj's attention may be more than just helping him find the truth to his sister.

Week 7 Rival - Mixtape Girl

Chiyoko is a very talented music composer who enjoys making mixtapes in her free time. After she made friends with Shinji, she made it her mission to cheer him up...through the power of music.

To her, the best way to get in a great mood is to move your body to the music. Get into the groove, so to speak.

However, the past few weeks have taken a toll on Shinji's health. Aside form investigating his sister's disappearance and school exams, he wonders if he will ever have a chance to be happy.

If nobody gets in her way, Chiyoko will have no trouble in helping Shinji heal with her musical talent. That is...unless a specific science whiz gets to her first.

Week 6 Rival - Aviator Girl

Aiko is an energetic young girl who wants to a pilot upon graduation. She is fascinated with all the natural and beautiful places that the world has to offer. She plans on photographing all the places that she visits.

Originally, she enrolled into Akademi mainly to learn more about aviation during her free time. However, after she met Shinji, she decided to make it her goal to cheer him up.

In her mind, he needs a place of serenity; a place to reflect; a place to forgive. She's fully aware that he can never forgive what Ryoba did to his sister. However, she also knows that holding onto grudges and anger will never help you heal.

She wants him to not forgive her for her, but to forgive for HIM.

If she is successful in confessing to him, she plans to take him to many places around the world, helping him heal from the pain.

However...Rei has other plans for her.

Week 5 Rival - The Rich Yet Humble Girl

Moriko is from a very wealthy family, which was no surprise when she chose to enroll into Akademi. Her family were acquaintances with the Chikanari Family. However, Ritsuko and Moriko despised each other immensely. When she was announced missing a few months ago, Moriko felt like she deserved it.

"She angered the wrong one and she paid the price," she would say.

After she arrived, she made quick friends with Shinji. She was fully aware of his sister and what happened. She offered any help and advice that she had. She told him to treat her as if she was never rich in the first place.

He was stunned that someone as rich as her would want to be treated like everyone else. With his situation being worse, all he could ask for was a friend...and Moriko was exactly that.

While spending time with each other, she slowly started to fall for him. However, Rei doesn't exactly approve of that. It doesn't help that Moriko isn’t a huge fan of science...which Rei will NOT tolerate any kind of slander towards.

Week 4 Rival - Nurse Assistant

Kasumi is a intelligent young student who wants to enter the medical field of study. Spends majority of her time in the infirmary.

Before enrolling into Akademi, she passed the entrance exam with flying colors. However, she didn't have enough money to pay the tuition fee.

Recently, she managed to get the money to get into the school. When her classmates ask her this question, she refuses to answer.

She was studying in the infirmary when Shinji entered, asking for any antidepressants. His depression was getting worse, which was starting to take a toll on him. Worried for his health, Kasumi immediately jumped into action and proceeded to nurse him for the remainder of the week.

Throughout the week, she started to sympathize with his situation, slowly developing feelings for him. Unfortunately, someone disagrees with her...and she won't let her get away with it.

Week 3 Rival - Photo Girl

Megumi is an independent young girl who has a passion for photography. Plans to one day to become a professional photographer for the city of Tokyo.

Originally enrolled into Akademi to photograph the environment. However, after meeting Shinji, she was sympathetic towards his situation about Sumire.

One day, while photographing herself in the third floor girl's restroom, she saw something that made her go pale. In the photo, she saw the ghost of Sumire. Unable to understand the situation, she kept hold of that photo to this day.

Regardless of what she saw, she continues to spend time with Shinji until she started to develop feelings for him. She sometimes wonders if hiding the photo would ruin their friendship.

However, she has other problems that are affecting her already...a personal problem.
