Welcome to the channel. I’m Capt. Dave Trafton. My grandfather moved to Miami in 1926. Now, 100 years later my kids are 4th generation Floridian's. Fishing these waters is in our blood. In the early 2000's I spent nearly a decade running offshore charters and competing on the South Florida tournament circuit. As a freelance writer I am fortunate to have been featured in the industry's top publications such as Florida Sportsman, Marlin Magazine, and South Florida Sportfishing. These days I make my living as a private jet pilot, but my time off is still spent offshore, chasing fish and continuing to learn the ever-evolving game of Miami fishing.
