Nkiri Igbo is an Igbo language learning channel created for young children and their families, especially those living in the diaspora. The channel focuses on teaching children Igbo in a fun, simple, and age-appropriate way through everyday words, repetition, songs, play, and real-life interactions.
Inspired by my personal journey as a mother raising a child outside Nigeria, Nkiri Igbo also showcases how my daughter has learned and confidently speaks Igbo while growing up in the diaspora. By sharing her progress, we aim to motivate children and reassure parents that learning Igbo abroad is achievable.
Beyond teaching children, Nkiri Igbo supports parents, particularly those in the diaspora;by offering practical guidance and encouragement on how to introduce and maintain Igbo language learning at home, even in non-Igbo-speaking environments. Our mission is to help families preserve language, culture, and identity, one child at a time.
