Rolling Towards Eternity/ Motel's New Machine:

Here you see my rigid heddle loom configuration and a special cameo by my backup chair. This works well because I can use the space under the table for storage since I don't need to roll under the table. Instead, I slide the loom forward into my lap and set the notches in the far end onto the edge of the table for stability and support as I weave.
This is not a fast process for anyone, but for me, these simple projects can take over a week for me to make due to the rigors of the warping and tying on process. After a few days of resting from that, once I begin weaving, I can only do so for a few minutes at a time because I have to take my arm rests off to fit the loom properly, so I have no upper body support, which causes me to fatigue very rapidly.

Anyway, here ya go - what my haffa hands find to do and where they do it at.

It would appear that a thing called "Communities" is in place, and guess what? Apparently, conversations can now be initiated by YOU here in the Living&Active community. I will have to check on my laptop to see if this is only available because of the new phone, but we'll see how it goes. If using the new "Communities" feature causes anyone any kind of duress, please let me know - and please understand I am not the author of whatever the issue is. I will shut it down right away ( if I can) if it becomes a problem for anyone.

Channel update:

As much as I wasn't going to do it, I finally broke down and purchased a cheap "smart phone" specifically for shooting and uploading shorts. Music, quick scriptural truths, moments of peace to share... it has been bugging me that I am cut off from adding that content to this channel just because I wanted to do away with a smart phone. Well see how it goes. I've got my first couple of short form video ideas already in mind, so to God be the glory for what good comes of it.

Rolling Towards Eternity:
The one grand adventure I did not manage to have for myself is to ride overland on a train. It might never happen, but this is a cooler view to enjoy, maybe. And nothing compared to the waiting glories of eternity with our Lord and our God.

The Watchful Nomad/ Analytical Hermeneutics

Sometimes it seems to me, as I watch the events on the global stage get set for the time to come, that the enemies and scoffers of the word of God are reading prophecy better than those who deal in proclaiming it. It really seems every move made by those who will be in power during the Tribulation is deliberately being honed to fit the conditions foretold in prophecy (the UN "peace and safety" sculpture comes to mind). It is to the point that I would not be at all surprised if some NASA scientist renames 3I-Atlas (or some other space rock on a collision course with earth) "Wormwood" in an attempt to be funny and mock the prophecy of Revelation that maybe they heard when they were a child.
The odd thing is that many who do take these things seriously and have placed their faith and hope in every word of the Most High treat the discussion of them like they may POSSIBLY be prophetic or related to this or that specific scripture. Maybe faithful brothers (and a few sisters who have taken this work upon themselves) are feeling gun shy after this rash of specific rapture date "prophecies" that have cruised by recently. I have heard today that the channel of one watchman YTer was just suddenly deleted by YT with no warning and no strikes against it. The brother received an email notification that all of his work was simply gone and that he was banned from the platform. Another brother was recently sued in court for proclaiming the pre-tribulation harpazo. The case has apparently come to nothing, but the fact remains that someone TRIED.
I think on this a couple of ways. While I pray that this channel and its content will survive whatever culling will happen once the restrainer is taken away (if not before) to serve as witness to those who might stumble upon it, I also remember that prophecy itself tells us that there will be the two witnesses in Jerusalem, globally hated for their testimony and the judgments they are given authority to pronounce against a rebellious world. There will be the 144,000 sealed sons of Jacob who will also be serving as witnesses and will stand on the mountain with Jesus when His feet once again touch the surface of the earth. On top of all this, there will be angels constantly flying around and proclaiming the gospel and testimony of God to literally the entire globe. Whatever works we do here beforehand that do or don't survive into that period, God's word does not return to Him void without accomplishing the purposes for which He sent it out. That is the promise of scripture regarding our faithful handling of what we've been given to steward here in our own time.
It is also important to remember that the time to come is not our time - that's why we will be pulled out of it. Those who will be here in that time will have as witness against them every single effort of every single believer to reach them, even if that encounter was accidental, indirect, or unspecified. Scripture tells us that the Holy Spirit, the afore-mentioned Restrainer, currently has three ministries of conviction on earth with regard to the lost: that of sin, righteousness, and judgment. My point is that I don't think there is any cause for concern over possibly harming the witness of the testimony of scripture to look at specific things today and say, "Yup. This is definitely how that happens."

For instance, Isaiah 17:1 - the Syrian president (former Al-Qaeda commander) was just on U.S. soil meeting with and receiving gifts from our own president. He was invited to do an interview on Fox News, during which he swore to the goal of refusing to agree to peace with Israel while they still have control of the Golan heights and said of his terrorist roots, "I do not deal in the past, but in the present and the future." And Americans, some of whom just elected a similar ideology as mayor of one of this country's "most powerful" cities, are absolutely eating out of this man's hand. Am I supposed to just sit here and NOT say "THIS is just another example of America turning its back on Israel, even if by degrees, and THIS is what leads to Damascus being removed from being a city and left in a ruinous heap"? I think not. Some people insist that the destruction of Damascus will be due to a nuclear attack by Israel. These people forget that Israel is the apple of the eye of the same God who burned Sodom and Gomorrah to cinders, sent a single angel to kill 185,000 Assyrian soldiers in a single night (2 Kings 19), and in between those two events utterly demolished Egypt with a whole slew of plagues that crippled the empire and revealed every one of its gods to be false and powerless before Yahweh. Will WE see that prophecy fulfilled before we are evacuated out of here? I don't know. That isn't specified to be a prophecy for us or for the comfort of Jacob when Israel faces the troubles such as it has never seen. The question should be, "If we don't happen to still be here to learn of Damascus being turned into the world's largest ashtray, is that going to cause you to stumble in your assurance that we are going to all be absent from these bodies and present with the Lord very, VERY soon?

I sincerely hope not, lest you become disheartened for no reason.

Rolling Towards Eternity:

When I was still in my downward progression through decreasing levels of mobility, I had this story arc that went kind of like this:
1. walk with a permanent limp,
2. walk with a cane sometimes,
3. walk with a cane all the time,
4. walk with a cane, and have a wheelchair available if I should need it,
5. walk with bilateral forearm crutches, and am a part-time wheelchair user,
6. semi-ambulatory wheelchair user that depends on forearm crutches to stand briefly or walk a few feet.
7. I am a full-time wheelchair user. I do not, can not, stand or walk.

During this process, I was what is called these days an "ambulatory wheelchair user" (steps 5 and 6) for about four or five months, and in that very tiny window I was so grateful for all of the content out there designed to raise awareness that there are such things as disabilities that make part-time wheelchair use necessary. Now that I am rooted firmly in step 7, however, I have this strange sort of feeling that it might begin to be necessary to undo some of that "awareness" or else risk people assuming that EVERYONE in a wheelchair is able to get out of it and stand or walk to some extent. It has gotten to the point that I have considered ordering custom signage for my person, my chair, and my vehicle that explicitly states that I am one of those apparently rare NON-ambulatory wheelchair users, just in case I am out of town somewhere and get in a bind. I believe such considerations lean more heavily towards wisdom than fear, and I know that any such "binds" I might get into, should they happen, are already known by the Father with a known response already loaded up.
But still, it is incredibly odd to feel like you might have to explain to some people that, yes, some people are actually in wheelchairs because that is their only option if they ever want to leave their beds. Even putting "non-ambulatory wheelchair user" into the YT search engine gives you (me) nothing BUT ambulatory wheelchair user awareness video suggestions.

("Even so, come Lord Jesus - I am ready to be out of this chair and by Your side, receiving the new, promised, incorruptible body You bought for me and the task and eternal life You'd have me to experience with it.")

Rolling Towards Eternity:

So, the wrist braces I have been wearing for over a year to protect my weakening and thinning wrists from injury (if at all possible) no longer fit me very well without the compression gloves underneath them. At last measurement, my wrist circumference was about 6 3/8" - or on the small side of average for an adult female. I am not troubled by these things for two reasons. First is simply that it confirms the general presumption of medical professionals that I have some sort of neuro-degenerative/ motor neuron thing happening. It's not in my head. This is not muscle loss due to atrophy from lack of use. I am a full-time manual wheelchair user, meaning that the muscles that are going away should have every reason to stick around. This would mean, by definition, that my muscle loss is due to muscle wasting, which is a different beast altogether. I believe the steadily increasing weakness and strain on my neck is because of the same reason, though I have not and will not be taking the time to ask Dr. Google about it.

Which brings me to point number two. In the video, "RTE Reset, Part 2 (redux)", I read the passage of scripture that I have in mind right now. How these corruptible vessels are passing away, deteriorating, coming to the culmination of the full meaning of the scripture that says, "the flesh profits nothing". Is God a man that He should lie? How about, "The wages of sin is death"? I have used this body to commit many egregious sins in this life, and it won't be until it is done away with that I will be able to be in the presence of the One who made me, loves me, and gave Himself for me. This is point number two: where some might see these things as a cause to question God's goodness, love, and faithfulness, I have an opportunity to list the fulfillment of the scriptures mentioned above, and probably many others if I thought about it long enough, that speak to God's truthfulness, without which the testimony of His other attributes would become almost meaningless.

You guys remember this? I keep trying to remember to ask my landlord if I can set this up somewhere to use over the winter -probably because I keep succeeding in remembering how many little ones and older ones there are living in these two buildings that make up this complex. However, I DO have a respectable supply of actual lanterns that could be cool to use...
Anyway - good times!

The Watchful Nomad:
Well, we already know the gist of how things will play out the rest of the way because Yahweh lovingly gave us those answers (and that blessed hope for those who are in Christ) a very long time ago. I have picked up on a bit of predictive patterning though, that might help people sort through the details if they find themselves experiencing anxiety over the outcomes of elections, court rulings, societal and cultural shifts, or things launched with the intention of curbing the coming apocalypse. Ready to know what it is?

Whatever the worst possible outcome for Jews, the innocent, and the people who genuinely love God and take Him at His word might be, in human terms, is what is going to happen from here on out. This world and this age have reached terminal velocity and critical mass simultaneously. Everything is so close to ignition right now that all it is going to take for earth to go supernova is the removal of the Restrainer. It is to the point where there is nowhere anyone can turn to look that the work of the Restrainer is not immediately evident. You can almost see the rage in the eyes of those being restrained, and they are making no bones about kicking against the goads.

Motel's New Machine:

Nope. This is not some cool new shop facility. This is my apartment's living room at the moment. With a great deal of help, I was able to get a hold of a very well-apportioned antique sewing desk. The thought is that maybe I can rig this fine piece of old world furniture to be able handle testing all sorts of sewing machines, no matter how they are powered. First thing's first, though. The whole right side was in danger of seeking its own path, so some repairs are in order before the modifications begin.
Noah, in his day, was given an ark to build; I do this. Noah's work literally preserved the life from which the post flood world would be populated. He was instructed to do it by the Most High Himself. These projects I find to occupy myself with at the end of this age do not bear anywhere near the same weight. Because Jesus is the fulfillment of God's plan of redemption, there's nothing to do but wait, spread the word, and find ways to redeem the time. Plus I get to feel like I am engaged in more manly pursuits when the clamps and power tools come out.
