I have been playing music my whole life, starting out on the organ, because my grandfather played. When I heard Led Zeppelin's Heartbreaker, I had to pick up the guitar, and played throughout junior high and high school. I was still a guitarist when I was asked to join a progressive rock band as their bassist. So I basically cut my teeth as a bassist in prog rock, as well as the college jazz band. I have been playing bass now for 35+ years. I also play drums, melodica and bagpipes.
