Founded by legendary conservationist John Muir in 1892, the Sierra Club is now the nation's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization -- with more than two million members and supporters.
In the winter of 2014, the Georgia Chapter celebrated 31 years of protecting Georgia’s beautiful unique landscape. Our chapter is the largest grassroots environmental organization in the state of Georgia. Georgia Sierra Club members and supporters are more than 45,000 of your friends and neighbors.
We have a growing outings program, and have strong committees working on forest protection, transportation and clean energy. Inspired by nature, we work together to protect our communities and the planet. Join us as we fulfill our mission to explore, enjoy and protect the planet!
