ASMR is the acronym for Autonomous Sensory Meridian Response. It is the name given to the sensations of pleasure, usually a tingling or shivering felt on the scalp, neck or nape, caused by visual, auditory and cognitive stimuli.
The secret is for the listener to reach a state of relaxation, enough to cause the sensation (some describe it as a “brain orgasm”) and this response varies from person to person, and the listener may even relax to the point of falling asleep. The response to stimuli is autonomous and the listener cannot control or predict their reactions.
