BFD drives is a completely privately operated channel for car enthusiasts and petrol heads like the BFD himself. Here you will find videos about driving cars but also some cool slideshows and video clips of some car events especially from meetings of classic and vintage cars. Sharing the wonderful images of great automobiles, even neo-classics and modern legends even in smaller scales as diecast model car. This project is purely private / non-commercial - this is my hobby, not my job. For a while YouTube is placing ads also on videos from non-partners. I don't earn any penny from YouTube and I also haven't planned to do so - I couldn't live from that pocket money. Hobby is hobby.

Back in last year I've been interviewed when I've been to the "Flugtag & Oldtimerfest" at the Wächtersberg airfield in Wildberg. Only a foto made it into the article - you can find foto of the article here: www.schwarzwaelder-bote.de/gallery.flugtag-in-wild…
I was having some fun using AI by using the foto of Siggy and I - shot for the interview by Aylin Kaya. One of the short videos I created with META.AI and added there a part of the song "BACKFLIP" by Raven-Symoné. Have fun watching the crazy AI fun: youtube.com/shorts/-RBltfAQrII

Hello to my fellow diecast car collector friends - did you see the Volvo with the cool diorama in the roof rack at my last video? Here's the link: https://youtu.be/KT5AR7HG-1w?si=8hWf_... (the Volvo is at 8:13)

🔥 Hello my friends! The classic car season is over and so I will also find soon again some more time to join again some diecast car challenges and showing some pieces from my collection. Today is my beginning with my recent buys from today at the Porsche's Museum's Shop and from Thurday at Müller's. You better call 911 because it's PORSCHE time 😂
Current schedule until the new classic car show seaso will start again around late March ~ middle of April again will be for now:
Monday - Wednesday - Friday: new episode from a classic car show or car museum
Saturday: short video
Sunday: diecast car video (toy car or model car)
Always remember the blue background is for the small scaled cars while the white background of the real stuff. But this only if it matters to you as I know there are also a lot of people loving cars in every scale.

2 weeks ago I was visiting the Mercedes-Benz Museum. You can look forward to 18 episodes of joy when watching me visiting the museum. By the current schedule it will start on January 7th. At the Youngtimer Special Exhibition was a foto booth doing face swaps ... here are three images from that, lolol. Choose your favorite and post it in the comments, hehe.
PS: Currently the videos from the Altblech Calw are getting released. Next classic car show will be the final of the Classics & Coffee at the Mercedes-Museum in Stuttgart and then even one more show from the SML Car Group in Eberdingen-Hochdorf that I visited the very first time ... so stay tuned! Although I sounded frustrated by the view drop recently - so no worries, there will be more vidoes until the new season will start - enough time for the adblocker developers and YouTube to fix the view count issue (I know it is not displaying all views for sure).

I asked Microsoft's AI "Copilot" about the view count issue on YouTube and the answer may surprise you. Here are the common problems causing suddenly very low views on YouTube in 2025:
- YouTube has changed the priority on recommending videos. Their focus is now about Shorts (that's why shorts tend to get 1,000s of views while the long format videos are noticable even having less impressions of their thumbnails)
- The long format videos do get recommended at a later time when the video hits 100-300 views.
And here we come to the next issue. Due to the war between the developers of YouTube and adblockers so some adblockers figured out a way to show you the videos of your long format creator without ads by disabling YouTube's API [youtube.com/api/stats/atr]. This API is responsible to count the views on the video you're watching. This means if you're using an adblocker then the view may not count.
I am aware that no one likes ads. But if you're watching your favorite creators of long format videos with adblockers then the creator may get frustrated when the view count drops out of the sudden although the amount of thumbs and comments can't explain it. The next problem is that due to the missing view counts it will take longer for us creators to get our videos spread out by YouTube as recommendation.
Therefore let me ask you to simply disable your adblocker. It is actually not working at the most websites anyway. I already uninstalled mine a couple of months ago as I had to disable it more often than it really worked.
I am not participating in YouTube's Partner Program - I am far away being eligible and also I haven't planned to commercialize my hobby to share the cool videos from all the classic car shows and model cars. So if you're seeing ads on my videos it is placed by YouTube to host the webspace for my gazillion videos which is fair enough. I don't earn money from it but if I don't get eligible view counts then it means the videos are getting less or never recommended and de-ranked in the Search (which also explains why I can find my older videos easier than the new ones). So any view from the adblocker hurts twice.
And please, if you re-watch my yesterday's video https://youtu.be/kAhvNhJXAOU without adblocker because only 17 views without an adblocker ... come on! Two of these views are even my own. Thanks a lot for your support. Have a great day, morning, night or evening!

Something is very wrong on YouTube! My recent long form video "🚘 Altblech Calw Season Ending ⛔️ 3. Oct. 2025 🚗 Part 6/11" has hit only 26 views after 28 hours. 11 comments plus 11 replies from me. So 22 comments overall - not different to the video before but almost only half of the views of it (what hasn't been a lot with 41 views either). It is starting to frustrate me. As much as I also appreciate the support of my subscribers although I am noticing it are becoming less and less people with the time. YouTube's Search is seeming to be very broken. And I already noticed in the Analysis that also the thumbnails of my videos have way less impressions than before. The problem seem to cause especially the long form content. But the short form content doesn't seem to be a real solution as these include empty views when the video was just swiped away after a couple of seconds. Way less comments on 1600 views of a short video than on a long video with 26 views. I can't explain what is going wrong on YouTube, now. But I am aware that I am not alone with this problem. The only question is if I will still continue in next year if I will only hit 20-40 views per long form video? At least no worries, I have still content for the rest of the year and mostlikely until the next season will start. So stay tuned! I appreciate the support of everyone who is following my videos and who hasn't yet given up already because of dealing with the same problem. Stay strong ... still hoping the website is getting fixed again. Although I believe all the AI crap has already destroyed the algorhythm - plus YouTube's war against adblockers.

As you're knowing I am filming very often on various classic car shows during the warm weather season from April to August. Since last year I am getting quite a few times asked if the videos will get published somewhere and where to find it. Especially in this year I was getting asked some more often about it. So it has become the time to finally create some visiting cards - these will be available for the next season (as the current season will end in a week). So it will hopefully also helping me to gain subscribers from the shows as I guess some people won't remember my channel's name until they're back at home. I had for sure some nice talks with people through the year who were interested in my hobby project to share the cool cars on YouTube videos for everyone in the world.

Recently on Sunday I've been to the classic car festival at the airshow of Wildberg-Wächtersberg. At the end I was also getting interviewed by a newspaper reporter. Nothing what I've said made it into the article at www.schwarzwaelder-bote.de/inhalt.flugtag-in-wildb… but the foto of Siggy Bear and me made it into the fotos (9/29) - Foto was done by Aylin Kaya.

BFD drives a Lucid Air Pure ... sorry, no driving video ... but I just had the chance for a test drive and it was impressive to drive a car with 430 hp/325 kW/442 PS doing 0-60 mph: 4.5 sec / 0-100 km/h: 4.7 sec. The Lucid Air is such a comfortable car with sporty feeling. Also it is inside a lot spacier than I've expected. I did some clips to present you the Lucid Air in a couple of short videos. So stay tuned. Anyway, it won't happen too soon that I will buy one. But I've at least two in scale 1/64, lol. So stay tuned for some Lucid Air short videos coming in the next few days. No long form video.
You can find the first short video here: www.youtube.com/shorts/frcNH8...
