Welcome to The Glucose Glitch! My name is Lurina Fourie and I am from South Africa. In the year 2000 I was diagnosed with Type 1 Diabetes, at the age of sixteen. No one in my family had a history of Type 1 Diabetes and we had no knowledge about it whatsoever. My daily routine includes +- 5 insulin injections (depending on whether corrections are needed) and I check my glucose using the FreeStyle Libre System. My HbA1c ranges between 6.1% and 6.7%
The content I create is to educate, inspire and uplift people of the Type 1 Diabetes community, whether living with it yourself, your dealing with it as a friend or family member of someone living with T1D.
