Malaysian songwriter and producer Shizumaru creates immersive metal and post-metal soundscapes that capture the raw energy of live performance within an intimate, personal space. A self-taught musician, Shizumaru grew up influenced by bands like Metallica, Iron Maiden, and Skid Row, later shaped by the emotional weight of Nevermind. That shift sparked a deeper connection to music driven by feeling rather than perfection.

Since releasing music in 2019, Shizumaru has put out a series of singles and collaborated with bassist Rich Gray on “Bury My Heart on Wounded Knee.” His music has been featured by Metal Mayhem Radio and RoadieMetal.
