MALA HIERBA
Mala Hierba was born in November 1995 by late founding member Antonio Carles, Julio Pinzón, Raul Guadalupe and Wattie, who is the only remaining member of the original lineup. This band was founded in order to mix the raw strength of street music like hip-hop and other genres like hardcore punk and heavy metal; similar to bands like The Exploited, Suicidal Tendencies, Body Count, among others.
The band has experienced several live experience in the national stage, both in the mainstream and underground scene. They also played as back-up bands for international acts such as: The Misfits, Molotov, Todos Tus Muertos, Victimas del Dr. Cerebro, G.B.H; gaining the title of creators of the Rap Core scene in Panama. Right now the band is comprised by bassist Giacomo Mederico (Yiak-o), Mario Sumners and Diegoh Alexandro on lead guitar, Wolky Tolky on drums and the eternal Wattie Romero on the mic.
