Quick heads up, I'll finally be dropping a new fighting game video later today! It's similar in structure to the Slow Attacks and Orbs in Fighting Games videos, so I hope you enjoy it!
Apologies for the long wait on this, I was planning to release the Pokémon Red Randomizer Supercut next, but after working on it for a lil over a month I just kinda wasn't feeling it, so I just put it on hold and made something else! It's about 60% done, so hopefully it won't take super long once I get back to it.
There was also that big ol storm that took out my power for a week but that was lowkey kinda chill
Wanted to stop by and wish everyone a Happy New Year! Personally I think 2024 was really great for me, I think this was the first year where I'm still extremely happy with every video I made, I've had a wonderful time streaming and saw a pretty substantial jump in growth on both Twitch and the 2nd channel, and this was easily my best year in terms of travelling to events and connecting with people, including meeting my partner. It's been a wonderful year and I can't thank all of you enough for that!
I will say that while I'm extremely happy with all the videos I made this year, I'm a little disappointed I didn't make more. Obviously the quality of the videos is way more important, but ever since finishing the RBY OU video I really feel like my productivity went down the drain. I was hoping both of the videos I made after that would be a lil more chill to work on and wouldn't take super long, but I found both pretty tough surprisingly, and progress on the Pokémon Red Randomizer Supercut is also a lil slower than I'd like. I'm not too torn up about it cause at the end of the day I'd rather slowly make things I actually want made than churn out whatever, but I'm hoping I can get myself together a bit more regardless.
One other thing I'm hoping I can fix is the diversity of the topics I cover in my vids, I'm really glad I got to make stuff like the Pikmin video and more Worms stuff, but I was really hoping to touch on Ace Attorney this year, and I'm REALLY disappointed I only made a single fighting game video. I'm super happy with said vid, but there's so much I wanted to talk about that I just didn't feel I could actually get a decent video out of. It's something I'll defo try and work on.
Still, despite a bit of a slump near the end I'm still really happy with how things have gone this year, and having that slump only makes me wanna do even better in 2025! It's gonna be a really eventful year for me, since on top of working on vids and streams I'm also planning to move to Sweden and live on my own for the first time. It's a lil spooky but I'm also super excited and I'm pretty certain it'll do a lot for my productivity and work/life balance in general.
That's pretty much everything I wanted to say, thanks again for a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to whatever the next one brings!
Also, Golduck just dropped to PU in RBY. that's pretty bananas I hope Pinsir gets them

I've had it on the backburner for ages now and while it's not what I'm planning to put out next, I'll probably get back to chipping away at it soon enough!
In slightly more unfortunate news, I've come down with some kind of tooth infection that's left my face kinda swollen and messed up. I'm getting it checked real soon and it doesn't hurt at all, but I do look pretty stupid so there's a chance I might not be able to record anything for a bit. Worst case scenario I just focus on the supercut and maybe miss a week or two of streams though, so I should be alright!

I know the people who do like the Tomodachi streams REALLY like them, so I figured it'd be worth mentioning here. I only stream on Twitch at BigYellowYT but the VOD will be on my second channel if that suits you more, like Season 1 and 2 these streams will get their own supercut eventually, but that'll be pretty far down the line since I still gotta finish the one for my Pokémon Red Randomizer!
Still working away at the RBY OU video (maybe like 40%ish edited?) but I'm very happy to report that I've got my first ever fan edit!
Waltzy Odzy made a lil animation based on my Super Mario 64 DS video a while back and they've just made a full highlight video on one of my silly Brawl tier list streams featuring some really cool art, I really enjoyed it so defo give it a watch if you're interested!
Dropping another quick update on the next video and a few other things cause the vid is turning out much bigger than expected and I'd just like to keep everyone in the know. First things first I finally have the Recent Developments in RBY OU vid fully recorded and trimmed, so all that's left is the editing which I've already made a start on! There is a lil bit of a catch though, and that's that the vid is over an hour and 20 mins long.
Basically, this is gonna take quite a long time. I was really hoping I'd have this video finished before the 10th of August since I'll be heading to Sweden for a week, but realistically I don't think that's gonna happen. I'd like to keep the editing at least on par with the last Recent Developments video which I was really happy with, so I'm not gonna stress about it and compromise that just to have a video out when it's convenient. HOWEVER, if you would like to have a sneak peak at said editing, the first three minutes of the video is currently available for anyone to view for free on my Patreon. It's not paywalled, that's just where it happens to be!
One last thing I should probably mention is that Channel Memberships are also a thing now, just like the Patreon nothing substantial will ever be locked behind them (except a Nidoqueen emote cause yt told me to add one and I like Nidoqueen), they're just a completely optional means of supporting me. I'm not sure if I've ever mentioned it but this is actually my primary source of income, so any support is appreciated and really helps me do what I do, especially when it comes to large videos like this! Also I have no intention of ever taking sponsors cause they're lame, having to do what I'm told is BORING, at least half of the companies behind them are evil, and actually taking one means I can't make fake sponsor jokes anymore which would be crushing, so it also helps in that regard!
Anyways, thank you so much for your continued patience, I hate to leave everyone hanging for so long and even just for myself I always worry about not getting as much as I should done, but I'm happy with what I have so far and I'm confident I can make something pretty cool maybe (:

Rather than throwing a script together ASAP and try and smashing new info into the vid down the line, what I'm currently doing is working on the Randomiser Supercut and the script at the same time.
Basically, there might be a pretty substantial wait until that vid, but whenever it does drop the Supercut probably won't be far behind! It's actually been really nice so far, I was looking forward to working on the Supercut cause they're inherently a lot less pressure, I've had quite a few info-heavy vids back-to-back and while that's what I want to make the most, a lil break from that is defo nice!

Wanted to give a lil update on how things are going just cause it's been a bit. Admittedly I've been feeling super slow and unproductive lately, I kinda wanted to take things easy for a bit after the last RBY vid was such a huge undertaking, but I found vids I thought would be pretty chill to work on like the Lego Gem vid and the one I'm working on right now a lot more difficult than I expected.
I'm kinda over it now though, the video I'm working on right now is more of a "Here's why I like this" vid than a "Here's some cool facts" vid and I think it's the fact I haven't done one of those in a while that sorta caught me, it's pretty easy to lose faith in a vid like that while you're working on it cause you second guess yourself a lot and wonder if what you're saying is actually engaging or interesting. It's been kinda slow going and the scope of the vid isn't super big, but I feel much better about it now!
Still, a big factor in why I really wanna make this vid work is that it is a style of vid I'd like to do more of, my video where I talked about why I loved Street Fighter V is one of my favourites to date, and there's some series I'd like to cover in a similar fashion, Ace Attorney being the biggest one by a long shot. That's a series I love to death but I've been wondering how to approach vid-wise forever.
Sorry if this feels like a bit of a nothing-burger update, I've just felt very stumped recently and wasn't sure why until the last couple days where I really felt like I got my mojo back. The next vid will be out soonish, and after that I'll start on the 'Recent Developments in RBY OU' vid that I know a lot of people are waiting on. That's defo gonna take some time, but if you're starved for RBY stuff I did recently start a randomizer of Pokémon Red on stream! Another thing I should maybe mention about the next RBY vid is that it's shaping up to be huge, I'm not 100% sure yet cause there's one section at the end I'm holding off on recording, but it might end up being my longest Pokémon vid, so it's gonna need some time to marinate.
Don't have much more to add than that but I'd like to again thank all of you for your continued support, taking a bit of a breather to go to some cool tourneys and work on the Tomodachi cut was really nice, so I'm looking forward to getting back into the swing of things! That being said I'm still gonna make a vid sooner or later on some dumbass topic 4 people knew existed you can't stop me it's how I am
