Wanted to stop by and wish everyone a Happy New Year! Personally I think 2024 was really great for me, I think this was the first year where I'm still extremely happy with every video I made, I've had a wonderful time streaming and saw a pretty substantial jump in growth on both Twitch and the 2nd channel, and this was easily my best year in terms of travelling to events and connecting with people, including meeting my partner. It's been a wonderful year and I can't thank all of you enough for that!
I will say that while I'm extremely happy with all the videos I made this year, I'm a little disappointed I didn't make more. Obviously the quality of the videos is way more important, but ever since finishing the RBY OU video I really feel like my productivity went down the drain. I was hoping both of the videos I made after that would be a lil more chill to work on and wouldn't take super long, but I found both pretty tough surprisingly, and progress on the Pokémon Red Randomizer Supercut is also a lil slower than I'd like. I'm not too torn up about it cause at the end of the day I'd rather slowly make things I actually want made than churn out whatever, but I'm hoping I can get myself together a bit more regardless.
One other thing I'm hoping I can fix is the diversity of the topics I cover in my vids, I'm really glad I got to make stuff like the Pikmin video and more Worms stuff, but I was really hoping to touch on Ace Attorney this year, and I'm REALLY disappointed I only made a single fighting game video. I'm super happy with said vid, but there's so much I wanted to talk about that I just didn't feel I could actually get a decent video out of. It's something I'll defo try and work on.
Still, despite a bit of a slump near the end I'm still really happy with how things have gone this year, and having that slump only makes me wanna do even better in 2025! It's gonna be a really eventful year for me, since on top of working on vids and streams I'm also planning to move to Sweden and live on my own for the first time. It's a lil spooky but I'm also super excited and I'm pretty certain it'll do a lot for my productivity and work/life balance in general.
That's pretty much everything I wanted to say, thanks again for a wonderful year and I'm looking forward to whatever the next one brings!
Also, Golduck just dropped to PU in RBY. that's pretty bananas I hope Pinsir gets them
