Also videos of the Volume 1 Buteyko Audio Book by Buteyko Biographer Sergey Altukhov is a biographical account which documents Doctor KP Buteyko's theories, teachings and thoughts (October 1952 to September 1985). The books give a detailed history of the Buteyko breathing method as taught by Doctor Buteyko and his colleagues and outlines his belief that the method could be used to treat 150 Diseases of Deep Breathing.
Recent research into Buteyko's method include: University of Calgary, Asthma Research Results, Canada 2008 "Buteyko group had significantly improved asthma control and improved quality of life.
The British Guideline on the Management of Asthma now grants permission for British health professionals to recommend Buteyko (SIGN App).
