GOING AGAINST RIVER TIDES.
Capturing his life’s triumphs and turmoil, Hue McMahon pulls his audience into his shoes to grasp it all and leaves them spun in a different state of mind. His electronic, dream-like sounds combined with his acoustic guitar and harmonica fuse into a New Folk firework that explodes when lit by the spark of his deep-rooted lyricism. Hue McMahon’s ambiguity gives his audience countless ways to listen to his music, revealing the melancholy that flows back and forth in his mind. His stage name is based on all the different emotional and colorful “hues” that the listener feels and connects with.

The purpose of Hue’s music is to connect with others through the pain and weirdness that his music portrays, and to give people the knowledge that their feelings are important and shared. He believes that his music can establish deep connections that will grow people's perception and help realize that many of us feel the same at times, but do not show.
