Time for a Reinstated update. It looks like as the first part of the episode will be slated around 3-5 minutes long, which means the beginning alone is the length of the previous two episodes from the Saxxy era! That’ll make it the longest so far! Hopefully this will allow for some LORE to be injected 😄

To clear up any confusion, Reinstated does NOT take place in the alternate beta universe, we are simply seeing the events unfold in another time and place among the established storyline.

It does reintroduce much that was cut from the original game before the 2003 hacking incident, though the idea is because the Combine Empire is vast and possibly have other various assets in different places on Earth, that we didn’t see within City 17 during Half Life 2.

After all, Alyx found something we all know and love.

UPDATE: Where’s Reinstated and other content?

-It’s in a bit of intermittence because of school and COVID 19.

The last four years since Reinstated The Arrival, I turned my attention to finishing my BA and MFA degrees. The BA is done and the MFA will be finished by January 2021, meaning I will never have to go back to college ever again and can begin work on projects once more.

COVID 19 has also been tough because I and many people helping out with Reinstated, have been forced to find other jobs to pay the bills and for new equipment/software.

Right now Reinstated is still undergoing asset development and script re-writes, due to quality control brought on by Hunt Down the Freeman’s negative reception of fan work in the Half Life community a few years ago. I’d like to stay clear of that and introduce something far superior in comparison.
