The quiet beauty of hidden history and folklore, the old ways rediscovered and brought alive for a new world.
Through the Looking Glass is a sanctuary for quiet explorations of nature, forgotten graveyards, rural history, and lost folklore. Through gentle narration, relaxing ambience, and slow-paced journeys, I step beyond the noise of the modern world to remember forgotten stories and honour the landscape, the people and the stories that make up our world.
What you will find here:
- Full feature documentaries on various topics (Some branded as 'Left Hand Path Documentaries')
- Atmospheric nature and walk-and-talk videos
- Forgotten local history, church and cemetery explorations
- Peaceful, contemplative & ambient journeys

Through the Looking Glass
Welcome to Through the Looking Glass!
You might have noticed a new look and name when you clicked on the channel today. I've officially updated the name from 'Left Hand Path Documentaries' to 'Through the Looking Glass'.
When I first started this channel, the original name was meant to represent taking the road less travelled—exploring the overlooked, the quieter corners of nature, and forgotten history. However, over time, it became clear that this occult themed name didn't match what this channel is actually about, or the kind of content I was producing.
Our journeys here have always been about stepping away from the noise of the modern world to discover quiet beauty: remembering forgotten lives, exploring local folklore, and taking peaceful walks through nature. I want to share more of this without every video needing to be a fully produced 30 minute documentary.
Through the Looking Glass captures the true spirit of this —stepping through a portal into a quiet, reflective world of story, atmosphere, and landscape.
What does this mean for future videos? All existing uploads remain right here on the channel. Moving forward, while you will still see the full 'TV Style' style documentary, I will also be making more more casual, authentic videos without any formal scripts or storyboards. Expect more relaxed "walk and talk" journeys, ambient nature walks, and spontaneous folklore explorations alongside the structured histories. Not every video needs to be a full TV-style production to tell a meaningful story.
Thank you so much for being here and for walking this 'left hand' path with me. I’d love to hear your thoughts about your favourite videos so far in the comments below!

Something a little bit different! This is a CASUAL video filmed off the cuff on my phone. It is completely informal and unpolished in comparison to the other videos. See my walk around a cemetery and discover it's stories, including the discovery of a very sad hidden babies grave.

Recently I was interviewed for the PRAVcast, the podcast of PRAV publishing who independently publish a variety of books of great interest to the spiritual seeker.
In the podcast, we talk about my channel and videos, as well as topics like the 'Spirit of Place', synchronicity, and the changing face of spiritual and esoteric practice in a modern world. Check it out at the link below!!!

Could Winnie Mailes be making another appearance in my videos? If you don't know her, then you need to go watch "Little Girls Lost" (The Garrick Theatre Tragedy), my personal favourite video and the one which affected me more than any other.
Also, there is something else about Winnie.... Ever since making the video, I have been struck with a number of bizarre and quite beautiful synchronicities regarding this little girl, who died in a fire in 1916 when taking part in a concert. It is almost like she aware of it all somehow. (I might make a separate vid on these coincidences later)

This latest video is a pure "comfort zone" creation! An old fashioned 'Left Hand Path Documentary' with poetic narration and nostalgic memories brought alive! Discover the tragic history of Mirapolis, the French fairy tale theme park that never was!

And now for something completely different! Or...maybe not THAT different when you think about it. On the face of it, this new video is about Sony phasing out physical media on PlayStation consoles, but it also talks about ancient history, human consciousness and the poetry of memory and nostalgia. It is the first time I have ever made a 'current events' documentary, even though such themes have been touched on in the videos before. Give it a go!

The next video on the channel will be a bit of an experiment. It is outside of the comfort zone of topics usually covered on the videos, but still retains some of the usual themes and feelings to make it a 'Left Hand Path Documentary'
In short, it is an attempt to cover a current events topic from the perspective of my history, nostalgia and poetic lens. So, it is something very different on paper, but by the end still very much in line with my general ideas.
