OUT NOW - In 'Secrets of the Singing Mummy', I examine the history of a mummy called Tjayasetimu, a singer of the temple of Amun. As well as piecing together her story, I examine the role of sound, frequency and vibration in the esoteric Religion of Ancient Egypt, and even have a go at trying to reconstruct her face.

This is a 'voiceover only' documentary where I don't appear in front of the camera. It would be quite hard to get over to Egypt, after all!

A viewer sent me a message regarding this documentary, one of the oldest videos on the channel. They asked me if this video was actually "real", or whether it was all a set-up made with a friend for fun. So, for anyone that wants to know - this video is 100% real and was actually filmed entirely off-the-cuff when I was first starting out on my documentary making journey in 2021, and had no idea what I was doing!

I was invited to this place to see the pyramid featured in the video, but was given a very short window of time to get round there, see it, and film the video. It all took place at the drop of a hat, and I had no GoPro or other equipment at the time, only an old phone. I also had no video editing experience at the time (it was actually filmed in 2021). That is how the video was made, and is why it looks like "found footage" and is quite roughly cut. At one point, I wanted to arrange to remake the video, but decided to keep it as it was. There was no script and I had no idea of what to say, and parts of it came out too dark/fuzzy to even use. But yes, it is 100% real and the place featured is a real location.

A warm welcome to all new subscribers to the channel, and a big thank you for the success of my latest video all about Imbolc!

Old time subscribers may notice that my video on liminal spaces has disappeared (it was one of the oldest videos I made). This is because it is next in line for the full remake treatment! This is part of an ongoing project to remove copyright sensitive footage from early videos, as well as to improve and expand upon the topics, now that I have better equipment and (slightly) better tech know-how!
