Khadija Ali is the President & CEO of Global Language Connections, with over 13 years of leadership in the language services industry. A former refugee from Kenya’s Marafa camp, she arrived in the U.S. in 1996, speaking no English. Inspired by a family healthcare experience, she became a healthcare interpreter, medical assistant, and later, a trailblazing entrepreneur. Khadija grew her first interpretation business to 900+ interpreters and 100+ languages. Today, her newest venture has surpassed 100 interpreters in under a year. A Harvard YALP alum, she’s a passionate advocate for immigrant communities, economic equity, and cross-cultural connection. She’s been recognized with awards from UNESCO, Minneapolis/St. Paul Business Journal, and more for her impact in Minnesota and beyond.
