main aim of this channel is to educate people on various diseases and issues regarding eye, our people needs to be educated on many core and simple issues, especially in kids, where most of the common issues regarding vision are neglected and they present to hospital, when there is no satisfactory treatment.
if vision is decreased or there is squint and vision is not checked and corrected in time, it leads to one very common condition called "Amblyopia", after 8 years of age, there is no specific treatment for it, though we advise patching but at times it yields no results.
another common problem which i frequently encounter in OPD is "Congenital cataract", parents are reluctant to do eye examination and if examination done and they are advised to do surgery, they will avoid by saying that kid is too small for this operation and when kid will grow , we will operate at that time, but till that time patients develops " Stimulus deprivation amblyopia".
