We started as 2 music rebels –a Chicana and a Mexicano – 🇲🇽🇺🇸 who were tired of nobody giving a damn about Latin Alternative music. So, back in the 90s, we got hold of a Xerox machine and shoved our DIY pamphlet into the sweaty mitts of fellow long-haired rockers at backyard parties around L.A. La Banda Elástica (LBE) was born!
Xerox dreams turned into a legendary, award-winning music mag and multimedia collective, producing epic award shows, killer concert series ("Las Noches del Dragón,") & our "Hecho en Casa" sessions, filmed right here in our L.A. crib!
LBE is more than just music, though. We're a diverse and vibrant community, a home for the artists we love and a place where music lovers worldwide can discover new sounds.
