So I run. I train. I entered a half marathon before I could run 5K. I entered HYROX with two months' notice and finished in 1:42. Now I've entered an ultramarathon and Ironman 70.3 — and I can't yet swim.

That's the pursuit. Not the medal — the person you have to become to reach the start line.

The 5am nobody sees. The discipline that holds when motivation doesn't.
