“The equivalent of this in our time is the occupation of many of the people with the veneration of the graves of the senior [righteous] ones, upon the belief that when they venerate their graves, they (the deceased) will become intercessors for them with Allah.”
-Tafsir al-Kabir under the verse: “And they worship other than Allah that which neither harms them nor benefits them & they say: "These are our intercessors with Allah".”-Surah 10:18.
I heard Abū Hurayrah recite this verse: ‚Verily Allāh commands you to return trusts to their rightful owners.‛ Until His words: ‚All-Hearing, All-Seeing.‛ (An-Nisā 4:58).
Abu Hurayrah said: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allāh (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) put his thumb upon his ear and the (finger) that follows it upon his eye.’
Abū Hurayrah said: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allāh (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) recite it and put his two fingers.’
Ibn Yūnus said: Al-Muqrī said: Verily Allāh is All-Hearing and All-Seeing means, that Allah has hearing and sight.’
Abū Dāwūd said: ‘And this is a refutation of the Jahmiyyah.’‛
The Prophet (ﷺ) got up amongst us and mentioned Al Ghulul, emphasized its magnitude and declared that it was a great sin saying, "Don't commit Ghulul for I should not like to see anyone amongst you on the Day of Ressurection, carrying over his neck a sheep that will be bleating, or carrying over his neck a horse that will be neighing. Such a man will be saying: 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! Intercede with Allah for me,' and I will reply, 'I can't help you, for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you Nor should I like to see a man carrying over his neck, a camel that will be grunting. Such a man will say, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! Intercede with Allah for me, and I will say, 'I can't help you for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you,' or one carrying over his neck gold and silver and saying, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! Intercede with Allah for me,' and I will say, 'I can't help you for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you,' or one carrying clothes that will be fluttering, and the man will say, 'O Allah's Messenger (ﷺ) ! Intercede with Allah for me.' And I will say, 'I can't help you, for I have conveyed Allah's Message to you."
Ibn ‘Umar said that Prophet (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) forbade making a man get up from his seat so that someone else can sit there; rather he told them to accommodate one another and make room.
Narrated by al-Bukhaari (6270) and Muslim 2177).
It was narrated from Abu Hurayrah that the Messenger of Allah (blessings and peace of Allah be upon him) said: “If one of you gets up from his seat, then comes back to it, he has more right to it.” Narrated by Muslim (2179).
The Sunnah states that a person has the right to remain in the place where he is sitting until he no longer needs it.
"And when harm touches you at sea, lost are those you call upon except for Him. But when He delivers you to the land, you turn away..." -Surah 17:67.
Iman Tabari (رحمه الله) says: "You've lost those who you call upon besides Allah from the rivals (unto Him) and deities...-ولم تجدوا غير الله مغيثا يغيثكم دعوتموه -and you will not find besides Allah any helper who can help you when you call upon Him..."

AQEEDAH OF SALAF
Al-Imām Abū Dawūd رحمه الله stated:
