I heard Abū Hurayrah recite this verse: ‚Verily Allāh commands you to return trusts to their rightful owners.‛ Until His words: ‚All-Hearing, All-Seeing.‛ (An-Nisā 4:58).
Abu Hurayrah said: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allāh (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) put his thumb upon his ear and the (finger) that follows it upon his eye.’
Abū Hurayrah said: ‘I saw the Messenger of Allāh (sallAllāhu ‘alayhi wa sallam) recite it and put his two fingers.’
Ibn Yūnus said: Al-Muqrī said: Verily Allāh is All-Hearing and All-Seeing means, that Allah has hearing and sight.’
Abū Dāwūd said: ‘And this is a refutation of the Jahmiyyah.’‛
