ABAGAR quartet is a vocal acapella formation from Bulgaria. They became known and popular to the audience in a very short time because of their exceptional style, belonging to the deep connection with Bulgarian’s folklore heritage and the pursuit of originality in the stage performance.
Soloists of the quartet are Desislava Petrova - soprano, Stefka Budakova – mezzo soprano, Sofia Genova-Miteva – alto, Hristina Valchanova – alto.
The quartet is the winner of four awards from international folklore competitions /2008, 2009, 2021/, as well as a nomination for the prestigious D&AD Awards London 2023 in the Sound Design category.
