Hailing from Goa, a haven for all things musical, Ravi was destined to be a musician. Ravi has tried to stay true to the sitar even while he explores its various facets in contemporary forms. He has hugely enjoyed all of the opportunities which resulted in magical collaborations with foreign artistes like Salif Keita, Kai Eckhardt, Angélique Kidjo, Ben Watkins, Pacco Sairre, Kudsi Eulgner, Robert Miles and performances at various international festivals - WOMAD, Glastonbury, Bumbershoot, to name a few.
His musical journey till date has been very enriching. Having had the privilege of performing with some of the best Indian musicians - Ustad Allarakha Khan, Gaan Saraswati Kishori Amonkar, Vidwan Vikku Vinayakram, Ustad Zakir Hussain, Sri Umayalpuram Sivaraman, Pt. Suresh Talwalkar, Ustad Sultan Khan, Louiz Banks, Ranjit Barot & others.
